by Peyton Jones: Church Planter, I want to congratulate you for the journey that you’re about to go on. You’re about to enlist yourself as a soldier in God’s frontline kingdom advance. In WW2, Dwight Eisenhower, along with our European allies, were faced with the daunting task of taking Europe back from the Nazis. The largest problem that they faced was the challenge of transporting an entire army across a large body of water in order to form the tip of the spear thrust, and drive Hitler’s forces back. Eisenhower organized the largest amphibious land assault that the world had ever seen.

But they didn’t think they could really pull it off.

Not really.

It all seemed doomed to failure from the start.

But Eisenhower had a secret weapon…

The paratrooper.

The idea of dropping thousands of soldiers in overwhelming numbers from the sky had never been attempted before. It was the ace up their sleeve. In the end, the American paratrooper helped turn the tide of the most decisive battle of WW2.

In the same way, God has a secret commando, the church planter. Church Planting has been the only thing that has been able to reverse the trend of the decline of the church in the West, in the East, or anywhere else where ground has needed to be taken for the Kingdom.

In the same way, young men and women are enlisting into a life of hardship, endurance, lack of reward, funds, income, and little chance of success. They are committed to Jesus, and in many cases, have moved house, left their support systems, become bi-vocational, taken a pay-cut, and risked their reputation…

All for the Glory of God.

You are enlisting as a part of that elite squad that God is throwing together in the shadow of the end of time. Souls are at stake. The Glory of God is with you. You are about to witness amazing things.

In Heaven’s halls, we will hear the echo of ‘The proud, the few, the church planters’

Semper Fi – Always faithful
