I’m super excited to have Tyler Reagin with us right as the launch of Catalyst: Atlanta unfolds. Tyler is the President of Catalyst, a leadership development organization which exists to equip and empower leaders who love the Church through events, content, and community. Catalyst fuels leaders and has fun doing it.

In his work with Catalyst, Tyler spends time working with the next generation of leaders driven by the idea that believers need to lead at a different level because we’ve been called to do that. Tyler wrote the book The Life-Giving Leader to encourage leaders to lead from a place of authenticity instead of aspiration. He’s here today to chat about team building, self-awareness, and becoming a life-giving leader.

Team building // Tyler recognizes that there’s a difference between building a team and inheriting a team. Building a culture starts at the hiring process, a time in which he keeps in mind the three Cs: character, competency, and chemistry. Here, chemistry is what dictates the culture of a team moving forward. How does a candidate fit with our team? You’re not just hiring for a position—you’re building a culture and the people are the culture.
