The Crucible for New Churches
Our Church Planter Shark Tank is the capstone event where months of intense residency preparation meet tangible opportunity. This isn’t just a presentation; it is a high-stakes opportunity for our church planting residents to compellingly articulate their vision and strategy for planting reproducing churches to a room of kingdom-minded leaders who are passionate about seeing disciples multiplied. Through this event, we move beyond theoretical training into active equipping and real-world resource allocation.
How the “Shark Tank” Works
This one-day event give features two parallel tracks of presentations, allowing us to showcase ten different church planters.
Each 60-minute resident slot is rigorously structured to evaluate readiness:
- The Pitch: The resident casts their vision—the Why, What, and Where of their church plant.
- The Interrogation: An expert panel asks strategic questions regarding strategy, funding, and clarity of vision.
- The Audience Voice: Stakeholders and donors in the room (and online) submit high-value questions to the resident.
The Feedback: The panel provides direct affirmation and concerns regarding the launch plan.
Who Should Attend
We invite kingdom-leaders to join us to observe this process and consider partnerships.
- Kingdom Investors & Donors: Sitting in the audience, you are present to hear pitches firsthand and actively discern how God might be leading you to fund a resident’s vision. This is a focused environment for you to deeply understand resident projects before making financial commitments.
- Stakeholders & Mentors: As established leaders already sponsoring residents, this event helps you deeply understand their refined vision and ensures alignment as they move toward launch.
- Church Planting Networks & Leaders: Observe a rigorous, reproducible model for evaluating and funding healthy, reproducing churches that can be replicated in other networks.
