One method of fulfilling the great commission that’s not changed throughout church history is church planting. We don’t see that changing anytime soon. That’s why we’re just as committed to helping leaders start healthy multiplying churches as we’ve ever been before. In many ways COVID has heightened our awareness of the need for church multiplication. What churches were least affected by the pandemic? It was our friends leading micro church networks. Continue reading how we’re helping local churches develop leaders to send out to start new churches.
If your church has a desire to multiply, you’ve probably wondered how you’re going to do it. How are you going to develop church planters from within your congregation to send out? Most church leaders don’t have the time, energy or desire to create a church planter pipeline and training program with everything else they’ve got on their plate. They’ve got an entire church to lead! That’s why we’ve developed our Church Planter Distance Residency. You raise up a leader and we’ll train them in the nuts and bolt of church planting.
Through our distance residency, prospective planters are challenged to grow in their competence, confidence, character and sense of calling. Through our relationship with Exponential, we’re able to offer our residents training from national recognized church planting leaders and practitioners. Residents in our program build relationships with other church planters, network with other church leaders, and develop contextualized strategies for planting a healthy, multiplying church.
